Because He Lives 🌿✨

“When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” — Colossians 3:4
Years ago, Charles Stanley preached a sermon titled “Because He Lives.” That message has stayed with me over the years, but even more than that, the song itself carries such deep meaning in my heart.
Growing up, Easter was always so special. I can still picture sitting beside my grandmother, Mellie, along with my parents, singing those beautiful words together. There is something so tender, so powerful, and so full of hope about Easter. It’s not just a day—it’s a reminder of everything we’ve been given through Christ.
Even my maiden name, Easterday, has always felt like a quiet reminder of that blessing. There’s a story behind it—that long ago, a baby boy was left on church steps on Easter Sunday in Germany, and that moment became part of a family legacy. I’ve always thought about how even in what may have seemed like a moment of uncertainty, God was already writing a story of redemption and belonging.
As I sat down to write today’s Monday message, the words of that song came back to me so clearly…
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
and life is worth the living just because He lives.

As believers, we are invited into that kind of peace. No matter what tomorrow brings, we don’t have to carry it alone. We can gently lay it at the feet of Jesus, trusting that He already sees what’s ahead.
Because He lives, we have assurance.
Because He lives, we have hope.
Because He lives, even the unknown can be faced with courage.
His gift of salvation reminds us that every moment of life holds meaning. Even the hard seasons, even the waiting—He is working through it all in His perfect timing, for His good and His glory.

And one day, as Colossians reminds us, we will appear with Him in glory. What a beautiful promise to hold onto.
Today, may you rest in that truth. May your heart feel a little lighter, a little more anchored in hope.
Blessings to you on Easterday 🤍✨
