Look Up and Count the Stars ✨

“Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.”— Book of Genesis 15:5

Sometimes God invites us to slow down… step outside… and simply look up.

In Genesis 15, God asked Abraham to step out into the night and look at the stars. It wasn’t really about the stars themselves. It was about reminding Abraham of something deeper—God’s promise and His faithfulness.

There is something sacred about sitting under a clear night sky filled with stars. Especially when you are surrounded by special friends. The conversations seem to go a little deeper. The laughter lingers a little longer. And somehow the busyness of life quietly fades away.

As we looked up together into the beauty of the night sky, I was reminded that the same God who placed every star in the heavens also placed the people in our lives to walk beside us.

Friendship is one of the beautiful ways God reflects His love back to us. 💛

King David once wrote,

“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars… what is mankind that you are mindful of them?”— Book of Psalms 8:3-4

David stood in awe of God’s creation. The vastness of the sky… the brilliance of the stars… and yet the beautiful truth that God still sees us, knows us, and cares for us.

And when we share those moments with others, the beauty somehow multiplies.

As we sat together looking up, I was reminded that life is not only about the big milestones or the grand celebrations. Some of the sweetest moments are the quiet ones—the simple moments when we pause long enough to notice the beauty around us.

And perhaps the sweetest thought of all is this…

Clear night sky full of stars above a quiet snowy landscape, reflecting peace, stillness, and God’s presence

The same God who scattered those stars across the sky also placed the beautiful people in our lives right beside us.

We were never meant to walk this life alone. We were created for connection, friendship, and love.

So tonight the stars will shine whether we notice them or not.

But this week… let’s pause long enough to look up. ✨

To notice the beauty God has placed above us…

and the beautiful people He has placed beside us.

Sometimes the sweetest blessings in life are simply being together under the same sky. 💫
