Trust. Surrender. Believe. Receive. 🤍

While sitting in traffic, I noticed the car ahead of me had a bumper sticker that read, “Trust. Surrender. Believe. Receive.” 🚗

As the light turned green, I found myself thinking about those four simple words throughout the day.

Sometimes our faith journey can feel like we are holding too many things too tightly — our plans, our timelines, our worries, our wishes, even our unanswered prayers.

Yet God gently invites us into His peaceful rhythm of trust, surrender, believe, and receive.

Trust begins when we remember that God’s heart toward us is always good.

In Proverbs 3:5–6 we are reminded: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” 📖

Trust means placing the weight of our lives into hands much stronger and wiser than our own.

Surrender is placing what we love most into God’s hands as well.

When we surrender, we don’t give up — we give over.

We place what we carry into God’s care, with open palms instead of clenched fists. 🤲

Surrender is not passive — it is powerful obedience.

When we surrender, we are positioned to believe.

Belief moves us toward faith. It silences the waves long enough for us to focus on Jesus. ✝️

We begin to trust that His promises are true and His timing is perfect.

And then… we receive.

We receive peace that doesn’t make sense. 🕊️

God longs for us to receive the peace, guidance, strength, and blessings He gives.

In Matthew 7:7 we are reminded: “Ask and it will be given to you.”

Trust opens doors.

Surrender clears the room.

Belief lights the lamp.

And receiving fills the house with His presence. ✨

Lord, teach us to trust You fully, surrender freely, believe boldly, and receive gratefully. 🤍
