As we prepare for Thanksgiving, we are reminded that it is far more than a date on the calendar or a meal we gather around.

Thanksgiving is a posture of the heart — a daily choice to pause, remember, and recognize God’s goodness woven throughout our lives.

A Blessing From Around the World 🌍🎾

A beautiful blessing this year has been meeting and fostering the UNF Women’s Tennis Team — a remarkable group of young ladies from all over the world. We share meals, conversations, and moments of encouragement — and every time we gather, my heart is filled with gratitude.

Recently, I asked the girls what Thanksgiving means to them. Their reflections touched me deeply.

One of them shared:

“I didn’t grow up celebrating Thanksgiving, but being grateful is a big part of my faith. To me, it’s about pausing to see how God has been good — through people, moments, and little daily blessings. Even being far from home, He keeps showing up for me in new ways…”

Their words reminded me that gratitude isn’t tied to a tradition — it’s tied to the heart. To noticing God’s fingerprints in unexpected places. To recognizing His love through the people He brings into our lives.

Choosing Gratitude Every Day 🌿

Throughout Scripture, God continually urges His people to remember:

• Remember the Red Sea.

• Remember the manna.

• Remember every victory and provision.

  
  

Why?

Because gratitude anchors us when life feels unsteady.It softens our worries, opens our hearts, and fills us with hope.

When we pause to look back, look around, and look up — we begin to see that God has been faithful all along.

My prayer this Thanksgiving is simple:

May your heart overflow with gratitude — not just this week, but every day. May gratitude draw you closer to Christ.
