🕯️ Be Still and Know 🤍
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
During an evening thunderstorm that rolled through, I found myself sitting in the dark. The power was out. The house grew quiet. I lit candles, and their gentle glow and the sudden silence reminded me of something important:

Some of God’s best gifts come when everything else grows completely silent. 🕯️
Our world is often filled with noise—notifications, schedules, distractions, and opinions. Yet some of God’s richest blessings are found not in the busy, loud moments, but in the quiet ones.
It is often when we sit still before Him that our hearts become calm and we begin to hear His voice.
In this Scripture, God simply invites us to be still.
In the quiet, we begin to notice His faithfulness, remember His promises, and feel His presence in ways we often miss when life is rushing by. 🤍
Jesus Himself regularly withdrew to quiet places to pray—a beautiful reminder that quiet time is never wasted time.
It is a place where wisdom grows, peace settles, and strength is renewed.
Some of the best things in life often take root in the silence—gratitude, trust, perspective, and a deeper relationship with God. 🌿

The power eventually came back on, and I reflected on how sometimes a power outage, candles, and stillness can be a beautiful invitation to slow down and listen for God.
Maybe we don’t need a power outage to accept that invitation.
This week, let’s take time to sit with the Lord. Let His presence and peace fill our hearts, and let His wisdom guide our steps.
Be still… and know that He is God. 🤍
