✨ Be Ready and Keep Ready 🙏
“Be prepared in season and out of season.” — 2 Timothy 4:2
God often uses ordinary days to prepare us for extraordinary moments.
The time to build our faith is before the storm. The time for us to learn God’s voice is before the difficult decision. The time to store His Word in our hearts is before we need it for comfort and guidance. 📖
Preparation often happens in the hidden places—in daily prayer, faithful Bible reading, obedience in the small things, and in a heart that continually seeks after Him.

A student cannot begin studying when the test is placed on their desk. An athlete cannot start training when the race begins. I experienced this myself while jumping into a difficult exercise class that I had never done before. I felt completely unprepared!
Likewise, in our spiritual lives, God often calls us to be ready before the opportunity arrives.
Consider David. Long before he faced Goliath, he spent countless hours tending sheep, protecting the flock from lions and bears, and learning to trust God in the lonely places. When the giant appeared, David didn’t suddenly become courageous. The battlefield simply revealed what God had already been developing in him.

Ezekiel 38:7 says, “Be ready and keep ready, you and all your host that are assembled about you, and be a guard for them.”
I learned that when Hillsong Music was preparing to record its first album, the leader quit the week they were scheduled to record it. In a panic, they asked if anybody could step up.
Darlene Zschech stepped up, and the song she had written during a difficult season, “Shout to the Lord,” was recorded. She was so shy that she asked everyone to turn their backs while she sang.
She could never have known while writing that song what God was preparing her for. But when the opportunity came, she was ready. 🙏
When opportunity comes, it’s too late to prepare.

So this week, let’s ask ourselves: What might God be preparing me for today?
Let’s remain faithful in the ordinary moments—in prayer, in His Word, in obedience, and in the small things—trusting that God may be using what feels ordinary today to prepare us for something extraordinary tomorrow.
Be ready and keep ready. ✨
