“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
— John 14:27
A Moment That Caught My Attention ✨
The other night while driving, I noticed my tire pressure was low.
It was dark, it was late, and I knew I had a problem.
I pulled into the nearest tire store just as they were closing.
As I waited to hear if the tire could be patched, my thoughts turned to peace.
Thankfully, the nail could be patched — though there was no promise how long it would hold.
Peace on a Long Journey 🛞
And isn’t peace in life much the same?
Peace is like a tire on a long journey.
When it’s full, the ride is smooth and steady.
But when it’s pierced — by bad news, harsh words, or wounded feelings — peace slowly leaks out.
At first, we try to keep going. But before long, the ride becomes bumpy… and unsafe.

When We Try to Patch What’s Broken đź’
How often do we do that with our peace?
Instead of stopping, we try to patch it — with distractions or avoidance — never removing the nail.
But peace keeps leaking out.

The Peace Only God Gives 🤍
We can’t patch a puncture.
No purchase, no trip, no distraction can fill what only God can fill.
Peace doesn’t come from covering a wound — it comes from healing what caused it.
Jesus didn’t patch our brokenness.
He healed it at the root.
Letting God Do the Repair 🙏
When we invite Him into the difficult places, He gives us the courage and grace to restore what’s been damaged.
A Thought to Reflect On ✨
Are we just patching peace…
or are we willing to let God do the repair? 🤍✨
