The Lord Is My Strength 🤍

“The Lord is my strength;

He makes my feet like the feet of a deer,

He enables me to tread on the heights.”

— Habakkuk 3:19 🏔️

Lately, I’ve been studying the book of Habakkuk.Little is known about him, except that he was a contemporary of Jeremiah —a man of deep, vigorous faith, rooted firmly in the truth and promises of God. 🌿

I love this verse because it reminds us that God is sovereign and omnipotent.

He is who He says He is…

and He is at work in our lives. 🤍

Recently, while snowshoeing on an adventure where the path was steep

and every step required balance,

I was reminded how much this feels like certain seasons of life. ❄️🥾4

Seasons where the ground beneath us feels uncertain…

and moving forward requires trust.

A winter forest path with soft sunlight, reflecting God’s guidance and strength in life’s journey.

Habakkuk 3:19 reminds us that strength doesn’t come from having perfect footing.

It comes from the Lord Himself. 🙏

To tread on the heights is a picture of what God enables us to do in His power —

to rise above troubles and hindrances.

Not in our own will,

but by leaning on the Lord and trusting that He will place us safely

exactly where He wants us to be. 🤍

God doesn’t promise to remove every mountain,

but He does promise to steady our steps as we move forward. ⛰️

Like a deer standing firm on rocky ground,

He gives us grace to stand where we never thought we could. 🦌

A snowy path with footprints leading through a quiet forest, symbolizing trusting God and finding strength in uncertain seasons.

As we climbed toward the top of the ridge,

I was reminded that high places aren’t always moments of victory.

Sometimes they are places where our faith is stretched…

where surrender is required…

and where our dependence on God becomes our lifeline. 🌬️ Habakkuk 3:19 reminds us that joy and confidence

aren’t found in circumstances changing,

but in knowing who walks with us through them. 🤍 God always meets us with open arms

and with strength that is not our own.

The Lord God is our strength. 🙏 This week, consider this…

Where is God inviting us to trust Him

for steady footing,

even when the ground feels uncertain? 🤍
