“We know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” - Romans 8:28“We know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” - Romans 8:28

As my Delta flight landed, our flight attendant boldly shared a beautiful thought to ponder for the week with the entire cabin. He said, “This week, make the choice to turn your wounds into wisdom.”

As I exited the plane, I thought about his words as I walked through the Atlanta Airport to my next gate. We all carry wounds. Some come from disappointments, some come from loss, some from betrayal, unresolved health issues, or prayers that may seem to go unanswered.

While we would never choose our pain, God can use it to shape our character and deepen our faith. 🤍 Turning wounds into wisdom begins by bringing our hurts to God instead of bearing them alone.

David poured out his heart in the Psalms. Job questioned God honestly. Even Jesus wept. Healing starts when we choose to invite God into our pain. 🙏

Pain often develops qualities that comfort and ease never could—patience, compassion, empathy, humility, and perseverance—and most importantly, pure dependence on Him.

The lessons learned in difficult seasons can become treasures that guide us in future storms. My dad would always say, “It’s like adding tools to your toolbox.” 🧰

Psalm 34:18 reminds us, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” 📖

Joseph’s own brothers wounded him through betrayal. Yet years later, he could say, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.” — Genesis 50:20

What was once a source of pain became a source of wisdom and blessing. ✨

This week, let’s place any wounds into God’s hands, asking Him to help turn our pain into wisdom, our test into a testimony of God’s faithfulness. 🙏

May God heal what is broken and use our experiences to help others. 🤍
